Seems a lot of that going on with the Oosterdam lately. Makes me wish I waited to upgrade myself to a balcony instead of paying full price:eek:. Maybe I'll get an upsell to a Suite:D.

since your bf is an officer does that mean that you are sailing on an employee "friends and family" fare?

no. We paid to get exactly what we wanted ;) and thankfully we lucked out on an upgrade. There were too many restrictions on the F&F for us. Oh and I discovered our suite is an SA, not what I had written down.
