RCL coming to NOLA?

Hi- The websites have her in New Orleans then rotating to the mediterranean. But Voyager will be back to New Orleans again.

It's definitely a nice alternative when Voyager is stationed there. Too bad it is not year round- love the voyager class ships!

Voyager OTS is moving from Galveston to New Orleans, and Galveston will get the Mariner OTS. Alas, only the late fall, winter, and early spring. Also the Carnival Conquest is returning to New Orleans after leaving because of hurricane Katrina. Galveston is getting the new Carnival Magic. And the Carnival Triumph and Carnival Ecstasy are swapping places -- Triumph is coming to Galveston, Ecstasy to New Orleans.

It is great that N.O is getting more ships. Have been out of this port 3 times on NCL. Do you think that N.O can handle the extra parking when the RCL Voyager arrives in Nov?

I wonder that myself. We took the Conquest back in November, 2003. We had to wait outside (after customs) almost 2 hours for a taxi after the cruise, and almost missed our return flight, because it was so crowded and traffic barely moved. We actually shared a cab with another person who was nice enough to let us do so, or we definitely would have missed the flight. And it was a 1:30 pm flight.

At least the Voyager of the Seas and Carnival Conquest won't be departing on the same days. Looks like Voyager is Saturday and Conquest is Sunday. But...The Carnival Ecstasy will depart every other Saturday -- that should make for a mess with the Voyager OTS there also. But maybe no more of a mess than Galveston with both the Voyager (soon to be Mariner) OTS and Carnival Conquest (soon to be Magic) both departing on Sundays.
