melodyrg Posted January 26, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 26, 2011 My husband and I want to take a PG cruise and are considering either a 10, 11 or 14 day itinerary. We would like your opinion on which one has the best itineray and why? What are the pros and cons for each? Thanks Melodyrg
Ahab10 Posted January 26, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 26, 2011 We've been on the 7, 10, and 14 day cruises and always felt we would have enjoyed a longer stay. The 14 day cruise has more days at sea because the island groups are farther apart but we certainly didn't get bored.:D
Talisker92 Posted January 26, 2011 #3 Share Posted January 26, 2011 We have been on the 7 and 10 day cruises, and would not mind a 14 day cruise-(another 4 days in paradise). We sailed on the PG in 2007 and 2009. We will be going back next year for our anniversary. The stories and pictures of our cruises are on our website http://www.stevekathytravels.com
Boarcephus Posted January 27, 2011 #4 Share Posted January 27, 2011 We took the 11 day cruise and found that one just about right. IMO, some of the ports we stopped at were not worth getting off the boat for and when we go back, we'll go for the shear beauty of the area as a whole and not necessarily the individual ports of call. It's easy to fall in love with life on board. The only thing I'd do different is try to arrange to leave first thing in the morning the day we are scheduled to leave. If it means getting up at 4 am, then that's good enough for us. We stayed an extra night at the Radisson and even though it was nice, when it's time to go home it's time to go home. Emdee Posted January 28, 2011 #5 Share Posted January 28, 2011 We have been on all three and loved them all. 7 day back to back isnt bad either - I think Wendy did that once. Each of the islands has their own charm and the ship is charming as well.
