patsyc Posted January 28, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 28, 2011 Hi All, Had posted same on the Royal Caribbean section then noticed it might more appropriate here... We had booked an inside QTY on the Independence for cruise in March and have just been assigned our room. Had a look on the deck plans and found out we are right next to the On Air Club on deck 3. We have never travelled on the Freedom Class ships and so have no idea what to expect at such a location. Is the On Air Club a busy venue? And the casino is right above too... I sleep quite early (11-ish) and am a very light sleeper. Will I have a problem? It's a pretty full cruise, is it worth trying to change cabins now? Or wait and see? Thank you for your attention. Any advice would be most appreciated.
cb at sea Posted January 28, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 28, 2011 I don't think you'll have a problem from the casino....but I would be leary of a nightclub....I'm pretty sensitive to "bass thumping" and that would drive me nuts! I'd give them a call, and see if there's anything else in the catagory you booked that would be a bit further away!
patsyc Posted January 31, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted January 31, 2011 The On Air Club is a karaoke club, I think. But I've checked the cruise compass and found they open until 1:30am, so we could expect people yelling at the top of their lungs until then! I will contact our TA and put in a request to move. Doesn't hurt to ask, right? Thanks!
