mikewrit Posted January 29, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 29, 2011 Does anyone have solid information or even an educated guess about what NCL will do with the Jade's visits to Egypt in the near and more distant future if Mubarak is toppled and militant clerics take over? I see that Jade was diverted from Alexandria today and headed for an overnighter in Istanbul. Jade rollcalls indicate that a lot of Cruise Critics (us included) book the Jade mostly for the chance to visit the Pyramids.
njhorseman Posted January 29, 2011 #2 Share Posted January 29, 2011 Obviously they will do just what they're doing now...divert the ship to another port if it's too dangerous to dock in Egypt.
calmac Posted January 29, 2011 #3 Share Posted January 29, 2011 I think it's too early to tell at the moment but NCL seem to have been well organised for the last minute change of itinerary to Istanbul. I'm sure NCL are paying a lot of attention to what is happening in Egypt (and neighbouring countries) and to what the various governments are advising their citizens to do. If there is a decision to change future itineraries in advance of sailing they will let passengers know.
