4evercruiser Posted January 30, 2011 #1 Share Posted January 30, 2011 My husband and I are sailing on the the Eclipse in November. We have never sailed on Celebrity before. I want to know if the pools on Celebrity are chlorinated or are they salt water. Thanks.

SusieV Posted January 30, 2011 #3 Share Posted January 30, 2011 Are you sure about that? I was pretty sure they were saltwater.
firemanbobswife Posted January 30, 2011 #4 Share Posted January 30, 2011 Are you sure about that? I was pretty sure they were saltwater. Yep. Kids spent a lot of time in there. For sure chlorine.
nps001 Posted January 30, 2011 #5 Share Posted January 30, 2011 I'm not certain but I believe that the S-Class pool are fresh water and the other ships are salt water.
4evercruiser Posted January 30, 2011 Author #6 Share Posted January 30, 2011 Thanks for the info. Not that it will ever ruin a cruise for me, but it would be nice to step out of the pool without that salty feel to my skin. The pools on Carnival are all salt water, so this will be a nice change for my hubby and me. Thanks again.
Baybear Posted January 31, 2011 #7 Share Posted January 31, 2011 DW and I just got off Celebrity Eclipse Saturday. Definitely fresh water and I could even smell a faint chlorine odor in the big inside pool. You'll love it. Very elegant and beautifully appointed area with a "waltzing water" fountain area in it also.
Lsimon Posted January 31, 2011 #8 Share Posted January 31, 2011 The pools on the M class ships are saltwater. Our one S class ship wasn't in warm weather and we didn't use the pools.

Ruthk Posted February 2, 2011 #10 Share Posted February 2, 2011 Here is a question - on a cruise last week we were going to book our first S class ship and asked the Celebrity booking agent about pools. She said there were no pools on S class that were heated!!!! Is this true??? So we booked an M class again knowing that the T-pool is at least heated on those days we are sailing in cooler weather.
