Staying 1 afternoon, evening at the Affinia Dumont at 34th St and Lexington prior to our 5 day Canadian cruise on the Carnival Glory June 18th. Looking for suggestions as to what best to see in a very limited amount of time on Friday June 17th as well as any information you can provide about that hotel? Thanks as always for all replies. Morebeer Posted February 13, 2011 Author #2 Share Posted February 13, 2011 Is there a calender available for Broadway shows that same day June 17th If so are most of the Broadway theaters close together and not too far from the Affina Dumont? Thanks.
Rare Got2Cruise Posted February 13, 2011 #3 Share Posted February 13, 2011 Hi, the location of your hotel is on the Eastside of Manhattan, it is in a safe neighborhood. East 34th Street is where Macy's and the Empire State Building is. All the Broadway shows play every night except Monday. The performances are usually 8 p.m., some shows have Tuesdays at 7 p.m. Sun, Sat and Wed also have an added matinee. Go to Playbill.com You can join for free and purchase discount tickets to many shows. There will also be links to puchase tickets to the hot shows which are not discounted, such as Wicked. You can purchase your tickets online and either print the tickets out, or have the tickets mailed to you, because there is enough time now.
