Necklace thing???

The spiral lanyard from the casino is free. I took off the clip and just used the split ring (like on a keychain) to put my sign and sail card on (once I had a hole punched in it.) I like the spiral lanyard because it is very lightweight. I hate wearing things around my neck and I didn't bug me at all. It also stretches really far. I could unlock my door without taking it off my neck.

We have always gone to the casino and requested a hole in our card and a lanyard (springy device with a clip on one end). Never had any issues.

Just off the Dream in Jan with OUT a lanyard. Casino told me that they had not received a shipment and I believe them. Did NOT like having to dig for my S & S when I needed it plus was concerned I'd walk out of the casino and leave it in the machine. I ended up taking a piece of the ribbon off of the bow on our champagne and tying it to my S & S card.

We leave next Wednesday and I'm taking 5 casino lanyards (every casino in the country gives them free with their cards & I have a "few") with me for me and my travel buds just in case the Elation doesn't have them either. I'm trusting they have NOT cut out this little perk; but "just in case"!

I do as the poster above says and take the spingy thing off and clip the card to my purse or whatever I have with me by the clip.

btw...the lack of a lanyard did NOT deter me from having one of our most wonderful cruises ever! Small stuff. ;)

Just adding my .02 :)

We took our old "Vegas" lanyards and a hole puncher. I had a small coin purse that I also attached to the lanyard this was convenient since most of my clothes did not have pockets or ones that were not big enough to carry my stuff. I mostly carried around a small tote all the time, witch kinda sucked, but came in handy to carry the essentials like camera (DSLR), fun times, cell phone for camp carnival etc.

I did see the pretty blue or red beaded lanyards in the gift shop, they were so pretty!

Hubby and I visited a Titanic exhibit several years ago. We bought lanyards they had for sale in the gift shop that are bright yellow and blue that read "White Star Line Crew-Titanic". You wouldn't believe the stares and comments we get about them, especially from the crew! This last cruise, the bar waiter called us Jack and Rose the entire week!

We just smile and say, "now THAT was a really bad cruise!" Unfortunately, I think some people actually believed us...;)

Bought the beaded ones 2 years ago from the Gift shop on Fantasy...They were about $15...Pretty but my child's broke the second day and they replaced it for free. Making beaded ones for our cruise in May!!!! Same price but my choice of beads and color!!!!:p

I am going to crochet mine. I never thought of it before, but with some cute stitches it could look neat.

I wrap my lanyard around a belt loop on my pants and keep the punched SS card clipped to a keyring in my front pants pockets. It is not at all obvious, but it is very convenient. And because it isn't in the plastic wrapper, I never need worry about it blowing away.
