Skywalkers will be removed from its 18th deck perch, with its replacement located on deck 15. This change will significantly improve the operational performance of the ship, including greater fuel efficiency.

I just hope they haven't started disassembling Skywalkers yet. It may not be fuel efficient, but it sure is a great place to sit and have a nip or two

Got an e-mail from Princess today with the same artists impression of the ship post rebuild.

 

Good to see that the covered pool is still there as there was some speculation about the cover being removed.

 

I think the ship looks more elegant without the shopping cart handle, I am sure that opinions will differ over this very large visual change in the ships profile. End result is a ship that looks as elegant as it's newer and bigger sisters but without the extra passenger deck - will be looking at booking another cruise on her to see all the upgrades.

 

Only sad thing for us is that the wedding chapel is being relocated which means the place that we were married will be no more but we still have the memorioes, photographs and video.

I wish the Travel Channel (who doesn't seem to do travel stories anymore) would do a show on the drydock. They did one when RCCL Soveriegn of the Seas was redone and this will be much more extensive.
