Sign and Sail Statement

My Sign and Sail statement for my 9 day to Mexico cruise aboard the Spirit totaled $2.50 and I started with a $0.00 balance! If only I hadn't been weak and ordered a club soda in the Versailles Lounge at Superstar Live the first evening. The bass player Chris was too easy on the eyes to leave for a sip of water....

How have others done expense wise?

So, how about gratuities???

Average is about 325 a week including gratuities, Steakhouse one night and any onboard shopping..which I don't do unless there is a really good deal on something I want.

It doesn't seem to matter how much OBC I have, I always rack up a bill. Darn wine!

I do prepay my excursions, but I always seem to end up doing one really expensive thing on board, like the Chef's Table or the Behind the Fun Tour. I'm boarding the Conquest next month with a Booking On-Board OBC, a stockholder OBC, and some credit from the Carnival Mastercard, so I'll see how we do!:p

March Freedom 6 nighter, with $100.00 OBC and a $250.00 cash deposit for S&S, we got a check back for about $144.00, tried smuggling got busted, but other members of our group got their through so alcohol bill not bad. We pay cash for gratuities, and any excursions we book privately.

Wow i dont feel so bad now! We have only been on one cruise and being a lady i went nuts on the pictures! I bought almost every single picture we took. Like 14  Add in the drinks and little things to take back. Our bill was like almost 700. But to be fair to my DH i had gotten a part time job to help with those things. SO in the end our S&S was ok. Now i did spend way too much in the casino! But hey we had saved for almost a year and it was the best time of our lives! Woo hoo looking forward to next year. Oh and yes i will most likely buy a lot of pictures!:p

My last cruise (7 nights on valor September 2009) the S&S bill at the end was...sniff, sniff...~$3500. and I was cruiseing alone. Stupid spa... ;)

LOL!!! And I thought my $900 bill last year when I cruised alone, was bad! Yeah, a large portion of my bill was donated to the spa, too, lol.

Hmm ours was $787 but that included $500 cash taken out at the casino for excursions (so not spent on Carnival), and the auto-tips for 3 of us (250?), plus DH won $50 at blackjack then quit gambling, so I guess we spent about $90 on a few drinks and things. DD (3) got addicted to virgin banana daquiris (the drink wif a berry and a umbrella mom) LOL
