Whitemarsh Posted February 13, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 13, 2011 Thank you for posting the above article, it was very interesting. I suppose I am like most people, in that my experience of Brooklyn was the view from the window of the cab whilst on our way to Manhattan. Your article on Brooklyn reminded me of another I had recently read about Brooklyn and it's inhabitants. I thought it too was interesting and I've posted it below. http://www.spectator.co.uk/essays/6630123/americaandx2019s-islington.thtml

Underwatr Posted February 13, 2011 #4 Share Posted February 13, 2011 Nice to see another mention of No.7 in the Times. We're acquainted with one of the owners (and his parents) so it's a place we try to get to every once in awhile.
Salacia Posted February 14, 2011 #5 Share Posted February 14, 2011 There are several people who know Brooklyn well on this board. May I suggest that anyone who has any question about where to go or what to see in Brooklyn before meeting the QM2 will have tailor-made answers to their questions, should they choose to post their question on this board. The article from the Spectaor is inaccurate, or - was it another example of British humour? (I found it to be racist, nasty and just plain stupid.) -S
