The balconies on the first three are recessed into the hull which affects the balcony size and the room size and the location of the main corridors.

 

On the last two, the balconies are hung from the hull. The five ships look similar but the design is totally different on the last two.

The older balconies are part of the super structure, it would require a complete re build and not even remotely possible.

It's the abbreviations that RCI use to identify the ships, you can see it on the emial they send you with your booking confirmation.

Is the design of the Navigator and Mariner really THAT much different that if they really did want to do this for the other three it would actually require a redesign? Wouldn't that mean that the Navigator and Mariner are larger than the older ships of the class?
