CC cabin to a CA is this an upgrade?

my parents have just been told that the cabins have changed from a CC to a CA on the ventura going on the 11th march. is this a better cabin if so why? looking at the deck plans if you look down your looking down at lifeboats.

Yes, it is an upgrade. Same deck, better position - midships - more convenient for everything. You are above the lifeboats - you don't look down on them unless you lean out and really try hard!

 

Same thing happened to us. Reason is they shift everybody up a grade or two to fill up all the cabins in higher categories, then sell off the remaining inside cabins very cheaply to fill the ship. Thus everybody is happy.
