hightownCO Posted February 16, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 16, 2011 I'm past final payment and had included a ship to airport transfer. Is this non-refundable or can it be cancelled now for a refund or OBC? Anyone done it after final pay? I tried a search and didn't see a definative answer. Thanks in advance... Edit...meant to title it Ship to Airport Transfer
ssbeagle Posted February 16, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 16, 2011 If you cancel at the purser's desk on board they will remove it off your account. Just do it early in the cruise and don't wait until the last minute.
caribill Posted February 16, 2011 #3 Share Posted February 16, 2011 I suggest calling your TA (or Princess if you booked directly) and ask that it be cancelled now. It might be refunded to your credit card or posed as onboard credit.

Edit...meant to title it Ship to Airport Transfer For some cruises the ship to airport transfer cannot be cancelled at all. Many will allow you to trade for an excursion (e.g. when in Ft. Lauderdale one can go see the Everglades on the way to the airport, if your flight time allows.) The cruise documents (Travel itinerary) will state No Refunds in either case. We have had a cruise where there was no refund at all, the onboard people saying they had no record of how much we paid (this was, by the way, the worst excursions staff we have ever seen). Best to get it covered before the cruise, if possible.
CruisinEars Posted February 16, 2011 #5 Share Posted February 16, 2011 It is fully refundable up to 10 days prior to use. So, at 10 days before the end of your cruise it becomes nonrefundable. If you know for sure you don't need it, cancel asap. The policy used to be 14 days, but it recently changed to 10 days.
Pam in CA Posted February 16, 2011 #6 Share Posted February 16, 2011 Call and cancel them as soon as you can. Don't wait until you board. We've had them refuse to credit the transfers onboard even though it was earlier than ten days. Don't take the chance.
