Best Rum in the Western Caribbean?

I have used the search function here and can't seem to find a good answer. I am sailing in September on the Carnival Dream with Ports of Call in Cozumel, Isla Roatan, Costa Maya, and either Belize or Grand Cayman (depends on the tender situation). Where and what is the best authentic Caribbean Spiced Rum?

We really like Cruzan Rum ... I think it's from Puerto Rico but you can get it all over the Caribbean.

We loved the Tortuga rum. It was in Grand Cayman, but I think you can probably get it in other places. Enjoy your cruise!:D

Cruzan is from St. Croix, USVI. And, as you say, it can be purchased all over the Caribbean.

Don't know about SPICED rum.. but there is a great site that has a wealth of info about rum at ministryofrum.com

We went on a tour of the Four Square Distillery in Barbados on a cruise a few years ago. Afer the tour we got to go into the bar and have some free samples. Rum punch and spiced rum. It was some of the best spiced rum I've ever had and I LOVE spiced rum so I've tried many. I didn't notice many people leaving wothout buying something. Hopefully you can fnd it on another island. They also made a rum punch that was excellent.

Definitely Cruzan rum. They have all wonderful kinds of flavors. They are wonderful!
