Charlot11 Posted February 18, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2011 Hello, I want to know what is the best for quality/prices for a pre-cruise in FLL. Is the Hyatt Place Airport South or North I should choose? Or what else could I find for 3 adults? Thank you We are leaving March 19th. DanJ Posted February 18, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2011 Hyatt Place South is new (about a year old) and is close to the Oakwood Plaza and all the restaurants and shopping it offers. North is an older hotel, is closer to the port and has the Harbor Shops plaza just across the road. I'm unsure if their shuttles are free from airport to hotel and hotel to pier, so I would check on that, and go with whatever one was cheaper. There are a million different options that would be fine for 3 adults. An option might be the Summerfield Suites, next door to the Hyatt South, where you can get a 2 bedroom suite for typically the same price or a little more as a room next door at Hyatt Place (Summerfield is a Hyatt property as well). Of course, this time of year is real hit and miss on the hotel deals as well.

You do NOT want a cheap hotel. You should plan on paying around $129 for a moderate hotel. Anything cheaper is going to have problems unless you are booking off one of the discount sites. OVgirl Posted February 19, 2011 #4 Share Posted February 19, 2011 We just stayed at Sleep Inn and Suites in Dania and it was very good for a reasonable price. They have shuttles, continental breakfast, Walgreens, Publix and a few restaurants across the road.
Charlot11 Posted February 23, 2011 Author #5 Share Posted February 23, 2011 Thanks to everyone... I think I made a mistake but we book with the Transat Agency and they sold us The Beachside Hotel and when I look the critic, I saw it was not very good... but well, it is just for one night...:(
