I would like to see the Maitre D' try to enforce a "suggestion" that is not a legal "rule". They are looking for trouble by playing that game, and that is why I think Silversea has softened the "rules" to begin with and made them into "suggestions".

 

I have always worn what I wanted in the MDR -- sometimes following the letter of the "suggestions" and sometimes not. I have never been told anything.

I would guess that, following YOUR line of reasoning, if YOU chose to wear pajamas and a robe to dinner, THEY would be in trouble for "playing that game" with YOU. Maybe those of US who follow the rules and guidelines would like THEM to "play that game" with YOU so that WE can enjoy the experience that WE are expecting and have paid for.
