Airport Courtyard - Ft Lauderdale

Has anyone stayed at the Airport Courtyard in Ft Lauderdale? We were planning to fly both to and from our cruise and stay at the Marriot Marina. However, plans have changed and we will driving to Ft Lauderdale and flying back to Ft Lauderdale, arriving late evening. The Courtyard would be convenient to the airport. It offers parking and shuttles from the airport and to the port.

We stayed there post-cruise in March. This is a brand new property, IMHO it's very, very nice.

The staff couldn't have been more accomodating, the rooms are excellent - big, nice linens, all you could ask for in a hotel of this type. Breakfast buffet (where you could ask for eggs cooked to order) was also good, I think that was something like $9/pp.

Not as much in the surrounding area as the hotels on or near 17th Street, to some that would be a drawback. Next door is the huge Bass Pro Outdoor Store; the Islamorada Fish Company is located next to it, we had a very good dinner there. Also a Subway is right next door.

We'd stay there again!

Former Goalie -

Thank you for taking time to respond. I really wanted to stay at the Marina but don't want to pay the parking cost for long term. We thought about leaving the car at the pier but don't want to go to the port at 9 pm in the evening. This way we will be able to be on our way home, boo hoo, in the morning. Did you use their shuttle service to the pier?

We took the shuttle service from the pier to the hotel - we were very lucky to walk out with our luggage from the ship, and we spotted the Courtyard shuttle! Otherwise, we would have had to call them up, and wait a bit.

We also took the shuttle from the hotel to the airport, very convenient and well done.
