Military Rates and ES Please Help!

Do military discounts only apply to people going on the ship in the military, or do you qualify if members in your immediate family are in the military? Also, if you book es, and the price drops before your cruise, can you get upgrades or obc? I've never cruised before, thanks!

What cruise line are you inquiring about? There are many different cruise lines, all with their own policies. In general military rates only would be applicable if at least one person staying in the stateroom is current or former military. As for OBC and upgrades for price drops, there is really no norm, it varies greatly from cruise line to cruise line and also as to whether or not you are past final payment stage in the reservation process.
