MontrealCruiser Posted February 21, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 21, 2011 Hi, We will be traveling on Sunday in a Family Ocean View cabin on Explorer of the Seas. Our 6 year-old DD will be occupying the upper bunk. Can anyone tell us if there is a barrier? In the pics we've seen of bunks, there doesn't appear to be one. She sleeps in an upper bunk at home but she has a railing that extends about a foot above the top of the mattress. We don't expect her to fall out but who knows what could happen in rough seas. Should we bring a barrier with us?
cb at sea Posted February 21, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 21, 2011 I believe there are sides that fit under the mattress....just ask your attendant for one, if it's not there!

Should we bring a barrier with us? Here is a pic from our trip on the Liberty OTS. Not sure if the Explorer has the same type, but it does give a representation. We also used the bunk on the Celebrity Millenium and it too had a railing.
