Can anybody who has been on the RCL ship tour "Nice and Monaco on your own" tell me where the coach drops you off in Monaco. Also do you meet the coach at the same spot to go back to the ship.

I want to try and research how we can make the best of our time there.

Thanks for your help

Yogo the train is supposed to be really easy to use along that coast - and much cheaper than the £50 of the RCI tour. It might be easier to plan for too.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I think I'll stick with the ship tour though because it's our first cruise and we've never been to this part of Europe before, but more importantly we are there on a Sunday so I don't want to take a chance with Sunday schedules

I did this tour several years ago, however, I just read the description and it sounds like it hasn't changed much. When I did it, the bus parked in an underground parking garage of some sort at the base of the Monaco "Rock". I believe the bus guide then escorted us up a few sets of escalators to the top and pointed us in the direction of a few things. I believe we then needed to find our own way back to the bus, which was still in the same parking slot in the garage.

I would second taking the train (if you are in Villefranche it is right at the tender pier) the trains run very frequently and are easy. You can even head back early if you tire of the city. Another option is the bus, easier from Nice as it is up a level from the pier at Villefranche but again cheap and fairly frequent. Good luck

Actually, the local buses are only 1 Euro and cover the same territory. It is very easy to grab a bus from Villefranche to Monte Carlo or Nice or almost anywhere else in the region. The trains are also fine but cost more money, do not run as often, and the train station in Monte Carlo is not in a convenient location when compared to the bus stops. For those that want to give their money to the cruise lines we say "bless you" since we are stockholders and like to see folks feed the cruise line money machine :)
