gypsylady Posted February 26, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 26, 2011 Leaving March 20 for 2 weeks on the Caribbean Princess. Because our flight arrives in San Juan after 8 p.m., we will miss the muster drill that first night. What time is the muster drill the next day for those who miss the first one? We do not want to miss our excursions because of it. Also do we have to go through it again on the first day of the second week as these are back to back out of San Juan. For the second week, will we have to get off the ship, go through immigration and reboard? This is our 15 th cruise but first with Princess and are a bit leery. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.
tigerlilly2358 Posted February 26, 2011 #2 Share Posted February 26, 2011 Muster Drill was around 8:00 PM. Since the ship sails at 11:00 PM, there is a second muster drill for those who missed the first. Happy sailing. Love the Southern Caribbean! cdamion Posted February 26, 2011 #3 Share Posted February 26, 2011 One of my table mates was late arriving and I want to say the 2nd day muster drill is right after late seating dinner.
lewje Posted February 26, 2011 #4 Share Posted February 26, 2011 We did back to Back on Grand Princess in May, regarding the muster drill on the second cruise you do not have to attend as long as you have permission from the Captain, just go to pursers desk and request. You have to stay in your cabin though until drill is over and put do not disturb on your door...a good excuse for a little lie down before dinner :) enjoy your cruise
Seabee Posted February 27, 2011 #5 Share Posted February 27, 2011 Last year in Venice, we were returning to the ship on the first night and went up to the Buffet. Everything was shut down, I asked why and was told they were closed for the drill. By the time we went back to our cabin, the drill was over and everyone was returning with their life jackets in hand. Missed it and never heard another word about another drill. You just do not need to attend. b) We have never had to stay in our cabin while the drill is in progress if we do not need to attend.

Thanks. A friend brought me the patters from her 1/30 cruise on CB. The make up drill on the second day was at 5:30pm after leaving St. Thomas at 5pm. You're on a different route than this one but would think it would still be 1/2 hour after leaving port on the 2nd day.
