irishayes Posted February 27, 2011 #1 Share Posted February 27, 2011 I'm a little confused. Are all of the grilles, etc onboard included in our cruise price? Or are we allowed to just eat in the MDR, and everything else is extra?

The main dining room, the grill at the pool, the buffet, and the Aqua Spa Cafe are all included in your cruise price. Normandie is 35.00 per person if you want to try it one evening. It is a lovely venue. It is a totally different menu from the main dining room. Enjoy your cruise. I was on Summit earlier in the month and had a wonderful time:)
wineluvr Posted February 27, 2011 #3 Share Posted February 27, 2011 I would strongly recommend dining in the Normandie Restaurant ($35pp). We sailed onboard Summit on an Alaska Cruisetour several years ago and the restaurant was amazing. We loved the original wood paneling, furniture, and Sommelier's wine basin, all from the SS Normandie, built by the French in 1935. Be sure to try the Goat Cheese Souflet appetizer. It's a hold-over from when Michele Roux was the master chef on X. Glad they kept it on the menu when Jacques Van Staden took over!
