skytrain to metropolitan hotel

does anyone know if its possible to take the skytrain we will be staying at the metropolitan hotel? where do we get off and can we walk to hotel from there or do we need a cab thanks

I presume you are coming from YVR on the Canada Line; your best bet would be to get off at the Vancouver Centre station, come up on the elevator to Granville and Georgia, walk one block west on Georgia St., turn right on Howe St. and the Metropolitan is about mid-block on Howe St. The walk is quite level..maybe just slightly downhill.

You are going to love the Metropolitan...we have stayed there several times and recommend it to all who go up for a visit. Pacific Centre is right across the street for some Mall shopping if you forgot anything also. The Keg steakhouse (if you are looking for mid priced eats) is right around the corner. BC Liquor Store on Alberni just a few blocks away from your hotel to stock up on "consumables" for the ship. Great location. Enjoy :)
