B2B Changing Rooms Process

Recommended Posts

If you do a B2B and aren't in the same stateroom for both cruises, what is the process of changing staterooms? While others are attempting to depart, do you just relocate at that time?

The room steward will help you move your stuff between cabins...they have carts like bellmen at hotels use, so you can do quite a bit without even having to pack, at least your hanging clothes. I think it would be easier to pack the clothes from the drawers just to keep from something getting lost in transit though.

Our room attendant helped us move when our new room was ready. We let him know we were changing rooms and he kept in touch with our new attendant. We put things from the drawers into a suitcase as they came out of the drawer, easy to put them back into the new drawer. Put toiletries into tote bags. It was easy! Then we were allowed to come and go to our new room and walk around the almost empty ship!!!:D

Our Cabin Steward took care of everything. We packed everything except the hanging things & he moved it. We could not go to our new cabin until everyone else did so I had to carry everything from the safe with me. It was easy, but it's still pretty much a lost day. We really didn't get to enjoy the "empty" ship.

We were on the Navigator & for us, it wasn't a wonderful experience.

Thanks to everyone! Really appreciate the information. We're slated on the Oasis on a B2B in June. Since they were offering such a great deal on gty balcony, we can actually do a B2B for about what one week's rate was to be if we chose our stateroom. Always wanted to try this and with the Oasis doing alternating itineraries it seems like the perfect ship to do so.

One thing you must do is ensure your two bookings are linked, through RCCI or your TA. It is also wise to tell your stateroom attendant and the one for the cabin you are going to.

As previously said, pack all drawers and bathroom kit into your bags and anything hanging in the wardrobe will go as is. Don't forget to empty the safe!

We have done several B2B's and never have any problems.

We recently did a B2B on the Navigator and found the experience to be so easy and seamless. We packed all of the drawers and bathroom items in the suitcase and left the hanging items in the closet, and sure enough, they were all moved to our new room that morning. We had to report at Boleros at 10.30 am and were escorted off the ship through immigration and then returned to the ship and got our pictures taken for the new seapass cards which arrived in our room the night before.

We were able to get into our new cabin immediately after clearing immigration. Our peaceful day was not interrupted hardly at all. A very well organised transition.

Did a b2b on the Monarch this past December. Made the original booking and a couple weeks later booked the 2nd leg and forgot to link them together. Half way thru the 1st leg, Royal called our cabin and took care of linking the reservations. Then we told our stateroom attendant. The last day we just had everything packed in our luggage and left the cabin. Hung out with a bunch of other b2b passengers and a couple hours later went to the new cabin and the luggage was already there. I messed up originally by not linking the reservations but Royal took care of it and it was 100% seamless.

If I was you I would keep calling RCCL to see if that room is availible so that you won't have to move anything.

Since we booked a gty room, not sure if they will actually work with us that way. Also, we liked the fact that one week we are on port side and the next we are starboard. Of course, it would be easier to be in the same room both weeks. Just trying to think positively. ;)

Thanks for the hint. Will do so. Hope our change of rooms is as seamless on the Oasis.
