What Beaches in St. Lucia

We are departing SJ on June 12, 2011 to celebrate our 30th anniversary. We'd like to just go to a beach and spend the day enjoying the sun and sand in St. Lucia. What beaches do they have there and what is the best way to get there? Not sure if we want to do an island tour per se, just want to enjoy the sun and sand. Any suggestions would be appreciated!!
