Any Problems Using Crown & Anchor Savings Certificates?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

My TA is trying to redeem my Crown & Anchor Savings Certificate and got a message back saying that my booking isn't within the designated window. The certificate (from RCI website) says "Reserve your cruise by 31-March-2011". I booked on February 17th and even if I booked today, it is still within the window. I booked the ship and sailing date listed on the certificate too. The only problem I can think of is maybe their redemption codes haven't been updated??

Have you used this year's Crown & Anchor Savings Certificates? Did you have any problems?

Thank You.

I've used one of the current ones that expire March 31 for our Oasis 12/24 cruise without any problems. You can email the coupon to coupons@rccl.com too. Just list the reservation number, sailing date, names, Crown & Anchor number and the coupon code and amount. They applied it same day and emailed me to confirm. This was about a week ago. Good luck!

Thanks for the information. At least I know RCI is accepting their own coupons. I'm also trying to use the ones that expire March 31, 2011. RCI rejected it because 'the booking wasn't within the specified window'. I emailed the coupon to my online TA to see if she can get it straightened out.

Are you trying to use the Savings Certificate along with some other benefit i.e. C & A balcony discount or stockholders discount? If so, you will not be able to use the Savings Certificate. Some discounts are not combinable.

No, there are no other promotions. I reason they gave for rejection was that "I didn't book the cruise within the designated window". The certificate (from RCI website) says "Reserve your cruise by 31-March-2011". I booked on February 17th.

I would call back and speak with a different agent.

Thanks everyone. I just thought I'd let you know how this turned out.

Evidently, the TA who booked my cruise, submitted the savings certificate to RCI with the wrong promo code. I sent her a copy of my certificate and she resubmitted it to RCI. It has been approved.
