jlat Posted March 4, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 4, 2011 Hi, We are doing our pre-cruise time in Paris, and have a 7:00am departure from CDG to Dusseldorf for a 9:45am connection. What time should we leave Paris for CDG? (Hotel Nicolo). Any major obstacles that we should be aware of? Are Taxis available that early or should I look to hire a car and driver? I;'ve only ever flown into Orly and understand that CDG can be difficult. Any advice would be greatly welcomed.
gubby Posted March 5, 2011 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2011 A couple of years ago ( 2009) DH and I booked a car and driver from Montmarte area to CDG. He picked us up at about 5:30 am and we were at CDG by 7:am. Very little traffic, courteous and kind driver, and not too bad a time at the airport. We were checked in, had boarding passes in hand and luggage checked in about 20 minutes. Car cost was about 50 Euros if I remember correctly. No regrets and would do it again. Check with your hotel concierge. Enjoy your trip. Nikki
SwissDave Posted March 5, 2011 #3 Share Posted March 5, 2011 If your flight is at 7am, then you need to be there at least one hour before, preferably 1.5 hours - especially if you have bags to check in.
