Jost Van Dyke through Ship

Will be in Tortola for 1/2 a day - already been to the Baths and Cane Garden Bay - Is it worth $79 p.p. to take a ship tour to Jost Van Dyke - don't want to go it on our own because of the short time we are in Tortola - we are docking pretty early in the a.m., are are trying to decide if Jost Van Dyke and all its beach bars is a worthwhile morning destination.

I went to Jost last Christmas while in St. Thomas. To me, it was worth it to get there. The beach and water is beautiful. Very quite there. Exactly what you would expect from a small Caribbean island. Lots of bars to get drinks and food. Probably the best day of our cruise that year. I hope to go back.

Depends on how long you will be there. We went in Nov and took about 45 minutes to get there Water was rough due to a recent storm so didn"t relly get in much. Only bar open there was the Soggy Dollar... did manage to knock back a few painkillers!
