Is carnival dropping mazatlan?

I heard a short blurb on Fox news yesterday that Carnival will no longer be going to Mazatlan because of the rise in violence there. Anybody else hear about this and when will it be implemented

The pax on the itins affected have been notified. We are now doing Cabo/Cabo/La Paz on the 3/20 Spirit cruise.

 

I understand that HAL and Princess are still going to Mazatlan.

They have not changed the web site to show these changes but individual booked cruisers have been informed about them through e-mail.

Carnival's official position is that they are continuing to asses the situation and are taking it a week at a time. Those who have been or will be effected will be notified.

We will be on the splendor for the May 1st sailing. I have not heard of any change in our itinerary (sp) yet. Not that I care 7 days on a ship it could go in a circle for all I care.
