At which pier does the Crown dock in Coz?

We were on the Crown in January and I thouught is was the Puerta Maya. We were about 4 or 5 miles from town. It was about a $15 cab ride.

Puerto Maya is on the Mainland of Mexico. Not on Cozumel

She docks at Puerto Maya which is a CCl port facility with a lot of the same suspects...Pairana Joe's, Dufry, Tres Amigos, Ron-Jon and of course DI.

If MY boss was going to be in Cozumel the same day as me I'd certainly schedule an excursion to Tulum.... WITHOUT him!!!! :D

I wouldn't trust the port schedules. We were just in Cozumel this past weekend on a Carnival ship and one of the online port schedules said we would be at the port in town, Puerto Langosto.

 

When we got to Cozumel, we pulled into Puerto Maya, the Carnival owned pier that was about 10 minutes from downtown. There were no ships at the pier in the downtown area. I know the Carnival owned ships go down to their pier, but it is such a pain to pay (and get cheated) for the taxis. I saw a RCCL ship at the pier right next to our pier, but don't know the name of the pier.

 

On a happy note, we did get back $10 each because we went to their pier!

Last I knew many lines are trying all they can to avoid the Punta Langosta pier (closest to downtown), because the owner of the pier raised the docking fees so high. Once Puerta Maya re-opened Carnival had their home back. :)
