Behind the Scene Tour?

I have read on another thread that galley tours are given on QM2 but that they are not advertised. According to that thread one may sign up for a galley tour at the purser's office. Has anyone done so and does anyone know of any other "behind the scenes" tours? Are such available on QE and QV? Thanks!

you are correct about the QM2, we have been three times now, same thing, but always interesting to do, they are done on sea days normally.

My wife and I did the galley tour on our Caribbean Cruise last November. It was indeed very interesting.

 

But it is the only available tour "behind the scenes". No bridge, no engine room, no crew accomodations, no storage areas and so on. It's not even possible to get a plan, fotos or videos from those parts of the ship.

At least on QMII, I have seen "virtual" bridge tours offered in the Planetarium on some sea days.

 

I found them interesting.

Well, true, except they also do a medical room tour, you have to a nurse, doctor etc, but they enforce it, it too is very interesting and QM2 is one of the best places to have a heart attack, the quipment they have is amazing

Can't say about the QV (sailing for the 1st time in 2 weeks) but on the maiden TA to NYC on the QE, they did have a galley tour as part of the ship's program. We all queued up at around 1100 and went through the galley as announced in the ship's programme for the day.
