2cruiserz Posted March 14, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 14, 2011 We have narrowed our search of hotels down to the DoubleTree Gallery One and Hyatt Pierr 66 and I was looking for feedback/recommendations on both hotels. What did you like or not like? How did you like the amenities and was it an easy trip from the airport to hotel and hotel to Port Everglades? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!!

D&N LUV 2 TRAVEL Posted March 14, 2011 #3 Share Posted March 14, 2011 We just returned from the Gallery One after staying there 3 nights post cruise. They do not have a complimentary shuttle but from the pier to the hotel it was $16 + tip and from the hotel to the airport it was a flat $30 fee using their service. It would probably be about $22 by taxi since it is a bit further away than the port. Loved the grounds as they had a nice pool area and loungers over looking the canal where the water taxi stops. Loved the day we used the water taxi and stopped at a great Irish Pub -- Brinys for lunch We did not eat at the Double Tree. There was a Starbucks just down the street and a nice European Cafe across the street that I went to each morning. The Galleria Mall has a nice food court as well. Eating after the cruise was not a priority for us.
