Kiwi Kruzer Posted March 26, 2011 #6 Share Posted March 26, 2011 Just happened to catch this on the web cam. Great capture Sandi. Its always exciting to catch a moment in time. Heres a magic one taken from our Hotel overlooking the bay at Valparaiso, Chile, during our pre cruise stay before boarding Rotterdam.

Drelix Posted March 27, 2011 #9 Share Posted March 27, 2011 I have tried sunrise but i set my clock as it said on my pacific daily but it was earlier then that. The photos I took there where just a fluke it was the last night of the cruise so i was about to pack up clicked on cruise cam and saw it so grabbed my camera and ran to the fly bridge. Rasa Sayang Posted March 27, 2011 #10 Share Posted March 27, 2011 I like this type of thread.:D Some nice photos being shared.:) I think I prefer sunrises to sunsets. I find the gentle pastel colours more pleasing to the eye than the fiery colours of a sunset. A couple for the mix Two sunrises in the Havannah Boularis Passage. A couple of sunsets somewhere in the pacific. Same voyage - on the way home.
Kiwi Kruzer Posted March 27, 2011 #11 Share Posted March 27, 2011 Have you noticed...when you observe a sunset , how quickly the sun moves... and sinks below the horizon. When we were on the farm , we built a new house that had a window looking to the setting sun over the the Tasman Sea. Some of the sunsets were just amazing. Rasa Sayang Posted March 27, 2011 #14 Share Posted March 27, 2011 Here's one I took cruising through the Boulari-Havannah Passage in Sept last year. Wow Karen, great photo. It looks like just about 5-10 minutes short of the spot where I took my two sunrises above. Amazing. :) Going through that passage at that time of day is truly one of life's great experiences. Another is sailing up through the Whitsundays at sunrise on a clear day. :D
