cancelling and rebooking question

DH and I are going on a Royal Caribbean cruise this fall. We were planning to wait until then to book the Solstice for october 2012, but since prices were great when the itineraries were first released this week we decided to book now.

 

Now assuming the price doesn't change, if we were to cancel the Solstice cruise this fall and then rebook it while onboard, would we still receive the onboard credit?
