Freedom Or Dream.

I was trying to decide which ship to take in OCT11, Ports are not a concern. I've been on the Freedom several times and love the ship. Dream is a 7 day cruise and Freedom is a 8 day cruise. Just wondering about the Dream and if it is really that much better than the conquest class ships. I would like to hear form those of you who have been on both and your thoughts.

Dream is definitely different ship than Freedom. We enjoyed both - I would "do" Dream, as you have never been on her. People complain Dream seems more crowded - we didn't really notice, and we went over Xmas/NYE, and the ship was sold out. Loved the Serenity deck. Didn't use the spa area - just the gym. Liked the way Dream deck 5 was laid out more than Freedom's. BBQ was a nice touch, but not a deal-breaker. If you get a balcony, go up a few decks, or you will be right on top of the lanai deck. (we had a balcony on deck 8) If price is the same, I would take an extra day of cruising over a "new" ship!:p

Glad you asked this.... I am debating the same thing myself. Seems to be about a $250-300 diff pp for basically the same cruise (if i remember correctly) between the ships. July 2011. But dont quote me!!

 

I really am more interested in the ship rather the ports right now. Aside from the Bahamas... every port would be new to me.
