If you have a 6:00 dining time, and you can't get there at 6, can you go later and wait to get a table? Thanks

Supposedly no, but the way Carnival works to never p/off a customer who knows. Last cruise, a table by us for 8 never showed up untill 6:45 or later and they were always seated.

Did it on our b2b on the Freedom and loved it - we sat with the nicest people - sometimes on our own. Often requested the same wait staff - in fact one waiter would flag us down and tell us he had room in his area - if you read this "hi Wari". will definitely do it next time. I agree that arriving 45 minutes late is just rude - don't know what ship it was but heard that one closed the doors at 15 minutes after assigned dining time and you were not allowed in. I thought that was great - it holds everyone, especially the wait staff up and slows things up for the next dining time

The doors used to be closed at 15 minutes after the dining time but we haven't seen that happening the last few cruises and people just stagger in. I agree that it is very rude and should be stopped. If you can't make your time then just sign up for anytime dining in advance and hope you get it.
