Istanbul overnight

Hello everyone

 

Need some help with an ON at Istanbul before doing a RCCI Holyland cruise.

 

Which is better ON at the airport or the port? I am disabled so I need it more for convenience than sights/popuularity etc. Has anyone done this and can maybe recommend somewhere?

Is there some reason you would have to stay at the airport or the port? I would stay in town. It's easy enough to get to port from there, though I would arrange transportation in advance after a very nasty experience with a taxi driver in Istanbul. If you have some specific needs, and you don't get any other responses, you may want to post this in the disabled travel forum.

Only to stay over prior to cruise due to breaking the journey and flight times. I hate taxis and always get screwed over - I'm too trusting.
