Does anyone know if you tours from Bodden or Rony can be done on the day we port. We are not sure if we want to do anything yet in this port, but if we decide want to go with above noted tours. Leaving on the Legend this Sunday

If you chose Victor you will not be disappointed. We have been on tour with him several times and he never, never let us down. Took us to the local places for shopping... vanilla, rum, coffee and etc for a fraction of the price at the piers/straw markets. Beautiful beach, even to a open house to look at new condos.

You may luck out and find a free driver, but no guarantee for them. If there was one port I would get out and see, Roatan would be it. The island is beautiful and the beaches on West Bay are to die for. Victor Bodden's crew are wonderful and will take good care of you!

Go with Victor Bodden group, he took us on a tour of the island, inner city,several photo ops, and then to west bay beach. it was fantastic.

Pre arranged via e-mail pick just outside gate. Sailed NCL jewel.

All day trip was 100.00 plus 25.00 tip:D

I agree with this! We just got back and Roatan is one place we just wouldn't miss. I wished we had a whole day on this beautiful island.

Great Info We too will be going to Roatan and wasn't sure what we wanted to do..We do know we would like to go shopping and see the Island as this was one port we cant wait to see since they premier this Island on House Hunters International...LOL

There are 2 different companies in the OP...Victor Bodden and Ronys Tours. Either will do a great job.

 

We have always used Ronys (4 or 5 times). They will custom fit the day to your liking. Prices are the same on either.

 

I would definately reserve in advance for either of theses companies.

If you are looking for the Bodden website, it's www.boddentours.com. Our guide, Anthony, took us to West Bay to see Bananarama from HH International. The beach is absolutely beautiful. Half Moon Bay is also very nice. We've snorkeled there and had lunch at the Half Moon Bay resort.

 

We been with Bodden tours twice. Next time in Roatan, we'll go with his guides again. They will take you anywhere you want to go, but never hover over you. We'll ask for Anthony again.

When Carnival used to dock in Coxen Hole, Victor had kiosk there (might still have one) where he took on customers the day they arrived and also helped pre-booke folks to find their driver.

 

Since his drivers have to wait outside the port gates now, he might not be able to acomodate Carnival and Pincess cruisers. So book in advance.

 

Also go over to the Roatan board and search there. You'll find pages of threads on both Victor and Rony and what to do in Roatan.

Thank you for the responses...Its so difficult to know who to go with and this helps so much...and yes we will book in advance, we are sailing on the liberty Thanksgiving Week so we have plenty of time :) now if we just wanted to have him take us shopping and for a tour of the Island is this possible?

what did u have to pay for 'rum' i assume it was local made. and any trouble getting it back on the cruise ship, we are booked with NCL late next year.

Haven't bought any alcohol in Roatan. But there is never a problem bringing back on the ship. You just can't take it to your cabin.

 

The cruise line (all of them) will hold it until the last night and return it to you.
