TinkhatesPink Posted March 26, 2011 #53 Share Posted March 26, 2011 Makes me think of the movie Wall-E remember how they all lived in a cruise ship out in space? They had everything done for them they all got fat. Definitely need a few treadmills and some nutrition specialist for those who live on the ship... Hmmm defintely doable. Rare richstowe Posted March 26, 2011 #54 Share Posted March 26, 2011 It all sounds great but could anyone really live in 185 sq. feet of space? Could you really live with next to no possessions ? Could you be content to have no permanent home base ? Would you enjoy not having friends or family around you.(Cruise staff do not count. They are workers, not your friends) Life on a cruise ship sounds like a dream and probably is better as a dream then reality. Having said all that, I'd like to try it for 6 months or so.;)

Rare richstowe Posted March 26, 2011 #56 Share Posted March 26, 2011 Hundreds of millions of people around the world happily live with a lot less. And your point is? This is a Cruise Critic thread catering to cruisers. The topic is could you live on a ship full time. It is not a discussion of how spoiled we are and how many would be happy with what we have. You must have missed that.

You asked: It all sounds great but could anyone really live in 185 sq. feet of space? Could you really live with next to no possessions ? I simply pointed out that many can and do live with a lot less and are quite happy. Considering all the space on the ship, who "lives" in their cabin? It's just your bedroom.
