iPad vs Laptop for Connectivity

I just heard today that iPads are easier to connect than laptops (netbooks). Has any experienced this? Your help will be appreciated. I hear it's much easier and quicker to get the wifi connection...

Where did you hear that iPads were easier to connect? Last year, I took my iPad on the Oasis and couldn't connect at all. I would love to be able to use it on the Allure!

What does easier and quicker mean? Both in principle will hook up to wifi, the devil is in the details.

 

Some netbooks/laptops depending on where the attenna is placed can / could get better signal and hook easier. We all know about the iPhone sensitivity :)

I always had a hard time attempting to connecting on my laptop no matter what RCCI ship I was on...it would be a hit or miss each time I tried...even spent hours with guest relations trying to configure:rolleyes:...each time my I-Phone would connect no problem....I got an I-Pad for Christmas and have used it 2X now...once on Solstice and once on Allure....no issues what so ever....connects the first time and worked great.

Well, don't know about a laptop, but I used my iPad on the Allure earlier this month. It connected very quickly, and held it's connection really well! I don't know whether I was impressed with the Allure's wifi or the iPad's strong antenna, or most likely both.

Make sure you have autofill in Safari turned off and you should have no problem connecting.
