waterloogirl Posted March 31, 2011 #1 Share Posted March 31, 2011 We're staying in Biscayne at the Doubletree next Sunday pre-cruise but are planning to cab it over to SoBe for the day/evening for shopping, people watching, dining, etc. Can anyone recommend a good restaurant on or near Lincoln with outdoor dining for people watching, etc. We're Canadian so this will be our first opportunity of the year to dine al fresco :D Food genre (Italian, Mexican, American, Seafood - we're up for anything)... Thanks all !!

Thanks all !! Van Dyke has good dining outside but Sushi Samba is my favorite and they do not have outdoor dining. The better restaurants don't have tables on Lincoln Road. If you aren't picky, stroll along Lincoln until you find what you like.
brunello22 Posted March 31, 2011 #3 Share Posted March 31, 2011 Many people will recommend Van Dyke Cafe as it is centrally located, has plenty of outdoor seating, as well as live jazz most evenings in the upstairs lounge. The atmosphere is nice, but the food is nothing special. I love Sushi Samba as well as Pasha and Balans. Pizza Rustica has decent pizza -- the place is nothing fancy, but rather a walk-up counter with limited outdoor seating. I like Tapas y Tintas on Espanola Way ... a Spanish tapas restaurant/bar with salsa dancing most nights. Being a lifetime local here, I prefer to dine off the beaten path, but like BlueHerons mentioned, if you aren't picky, there is a plethora of options to choose from. Peg_S Posted April 1, 2011 #6 Share Posted April 1, 2011 We walked about 4 blocks from the beach and found Enso Cafe and Restaurant. Interesting menu choices, a bit pricey, but you're on vacation eh? Lots of tables in the shade. Just make sure they give you new bread plates and silverware, we watched the (empty) table next to us host a few pigeons who didn't particularly care where they stepped. Enjoy!
