Distance from Paynes to Carlisle

What's the travel time between Paynes Bay and Carlisle Beach/Lobster Alive? Is it possible to visit both in one day (arrive on Cruise 8am, Cruise Departs 5pm)

I would also like to know this. We are interested in both? How far/how much to get back from Carlisle Bay to the cruise terminal?

Yes, quite do-able. ;)

 

Paynes Bay is about 4-5 miles North of Bridgetown and the port where your ship will dock

-on a straight and direct road-

 

..and Carlisle Bay/Lobster Alive/Boatyard is on the other side of Bridgetown from where your ship will be.

Driving time between Paynes Bay and Carlisle Bay should be no more than half-hour

depending on traffic in/around Bridgetown.

 

 

From Carlisle Bay area back to the ship (at 3 p.m.)

might involve more traffic than you'd think, especially if 3-5 ships are in port that day :cool:

All those cruisers ashore are trying to get back onboard, just like you are!

so allow maybe 20 mins. for that return trip, at that time of day.

The traffic congestion builds as one approaches the port area, that's why.

On Saturdays and Sundays

the traffic situation is completely different

and that same short trip will take 5 mins. tops!!

a thread posted awhile back said that there is a spot by Carlise bay to view turtles.If so could give us the location.

The turtles are all over these days...

 

I'm sure the local glass-bottom-boat guys know quite a few spots

probably around the 1 or 2 shallow shipwrecks in C.Bay

 

Any of those guys offering quick tours will put you on the spot/s. ;)
