Silvery Seas Cruiser Posted January 7, 2014 #52 Share Posted January 7, 2014 We have just returned from three days in Key West. We tried the Boat House for the first time. We have walked by this place so many times in past visits to Key West, but never have gone in before. It is just downstairs from The Commodore at the A& B Marina. The Commodore is one of our favorite Key West restaurants, but it does not open until 5:30PM. Also the Commodore has much higher prices than its moderately priced restaurant below. We were walking around in the blustery cold and noticed that Boat House had its windows closed, so we figured it might be warm. Indeed it was very cozy. I liked the nautical decor. There is a large lunch menu, so the four of us had plenty to choose from. This same restaurant is open at night too. By the way, the view of the marina is very nice. I wouldn't hesitate to have lunch there again.
hedy7813 Posted January 13, 2014 #53 Share Posted January 13, 2014 We went to Captain Tony's but they didn't serve lunch. (If nothing more...just stop in and check out the decor.) The bar tender recommended Lazy Gecko right next to Sloppy Joe's. We had great sandwiches there and my husband had his rum punch.

wrcjr98 Posted January 14, 2014 #55 Share Posted January 14, 2014 Guy Fieri just filmed an episode of "Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives" and will be featuring Garbo's Grill, DJ's Clam Shack, and Bad Boy Burrito. I'm anxious to see what he has to say! Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app
