blakey Posted May 27, 2011 #26 Share Posted May 27, 2011 Guess this is a dumb question, but... how do you eat the shrimp cocktail without using your fingers? It looks absolutely delicious though. In fact, everything does.

Froufie Posted May 27, 2011 #29 Share Posted May 27, 2011 Thanks for the pics. I was just about to post the same request as I'm trying to convince my traveling companions to do the steakhouse on the Legend next month. Perfect timing. I'm still convinced that the closets in the cabins shrink my clothes. Silly you - it's the sea air that shrinks the clothes! Everyone knows that! :D:D
bunchesofun Posted May 27, 2011 #30 Share Posted May 27, 2011 The "could my ass be any bigger" cheesecake looks fabulous!!:D It was wonderful! Only ate about 1/3 of it it was so rich. Saved the rest for my kids.
adira Posted May 27, 2011 #31 Share Posted May 27, 2011 Yummy!! We are doing the Chef's Table and will probably go to the steakhouse, too. I think we will be spending ALL our money on consumables! I agree about the spinach salad, FWIW. I don't think it looks that good. That said, I completely believe you that it tasted divine. When I saw it, I thought it looked like it needed dressing. How do you eat that heart of iceberg salad? And what is the foam on the Chilean Sea Bass?
marshhawk Posted May 27, 2011 #32 Share Posted May 27, 2011 That shrimp coctail looks fantastic! Think I will do the steakhouse again.

LoosinByCruisin Posted May 27, 2011 #35 Share Posted May 27, 2011 Were headed on the Valor in July and going to head to the Steakhouse. Does anyone know if Carnival's Steakhouse compare to Capital Grille Steakhouse? Hands down the best filet i've ever had.

geckog Posted May 28, 2011 #38 Share Posted May 28, 2011 wow i didnt know that, thanks. we are sailing to alaska and i just wanted to be sure that you didnt need to dress formal for it. I hear the Alaska sailings are much more laid back which is why we booked, I am not packing formal wear, nice clothes yes formal? No. Also do you have to request the wine in advance or is it automatically given? Some people would argue differently, but just dress as you would to go to a nice steakhouse on land. A pair of slacks and top are easier to pack than some fancy dress and are perfectly fine. We don't do "formal" at all. First night is also the most laid back since a lot of people don't get their luggage until after dinner. The wine is a promotion they are doing to get people to eat there the first night. They offer it at the table and you can choose between red or white.
thecruisers723 Posted May 28, 2011 #39 Share Posted May 28, 2011 Loving all these pics. It makes me want to go to the Steakhouse on our upcoming Legend cruise twice so I can try more of it. On a cruise in December (not Carnival, sorry), we left the yummy Steakhouse and went straight to the casino. I entered a drawing for a slot tournament, got chosen to play and won. One of the several things I won was dinner for two at the same Steakhouse we had just left. It was just a 4 night cruise. So we ate there 2 of the 4 nights. :D I have eaten at Carnival supper clubs several times and their private restaurant is better though. I do wish they still had augratin potatos on the menu though.
