after looking at the schedules for the ferry and busses, I am confused.

We planned to go to Hamilton for the events on Wed. night May 25th and come back to the Dockyards by the ferry. Now I see it won't run after 8:30 pm, which surely won't be the end time of the Regimental march and programs that night. Bus service on #7 looks like we would have to leave at 9:15 or wait till the #8 which only runs at 10:45. It doesn't look like they are encouraging us to enjoy the special programs in Hamilton, which will be the festivals on Wed. nights after the May 25 Regimental show.

Any suggestions? Or am I reading this incorrectly?

Sadly you are correct. With service cuts, you have to end your night in hamilton by 8pm to catch the last bus or ferry. If you want to hang out later at night, you could try catch a cab back.
