Coconut Grove - taxi $ ??

I've searched this thread and I can't seem to find my answer. I am hoping that someone can tell me what the taxi fee is from MIA airport to Coconut Grove and then from Coconut Grove to POM.

The taxi fare should be approximately $25 from the airport to Coconut Grove and the same from the Grove to POM. This should include any surcharge but I am not certain about whether luggage would be any extra.

Cabs charge extra for luggage??? :eek: I'm a bit worried about taking a taxi now after reading the thread where the cabbie ripped off a senior.

Mar 12, our group of 4 took a taxi from the Mayfair Spa & Suites (awesome hotel by the way) and fare was $25.00 to POM. No extra luggage charge. (hotel offered us transport @ $30.00) Surcharge is usually couple of bucks and from airport only, I believe.

 

Sat a.m., not too much traffic, we got there pretty darn fast. During the week, travel times might be a bit longer...just guessing though.

 

We got to the port ~1100 and had a short wait till we boarded ~1130 or so.
