bunchesofun Posted April 19, 2011 #1 Share Posted April 19, 2011 I was looking at a picture of our stateroom 6279 online and it looks like there is a vcr under the television. Can anyone confirm this? If so we will bring a couple of movies for the kids to watch.

(Not to contradict you, just showing where I got the idea from.) Posts only go to 7= I wouldnt worry too much about the tv for the kids. There is a cartoon network. Always a movie that runs a loop 24 hours. There is also a station where the kids can see what is happening in each port

It actually says tv and vcr. :) http://family.webshots.com/album/548430717SjHQKi so perhaps there IS one in 6279 after all.

When I first sailed on Carnival on the Inspiration in a Grand Suite (then called Category 12...) there was a VCR. Guest Services (then called the Purser's Desk) had a small collection of tapes to lend. The last time I stayed in that exact same cabin on that same ship there was no VCR. The old TV was replaced by a flat screen mounted to the wall and the VCR was gone... :)
bunchesofun Posted April 19, 2011 Author #9 Share Posted April 19, 2011 Okay, so even if it was once there, it probably isn't now. Oh well.
NJoyCruise Posted April 19, 2011 #10 Share Posted April 19, 2011 I usually bring our portable DVD player for my 5 year old son. He has some of his favorite show he likes to watch as he winds down while in the room.

montekat Posted April 19, 2011 #12 Share Posted April 19, 2011 When we were on the Pride in Sept. in an aft wrap, 4237, maintenance came in one day and placed a cover over where the VCR was. When I asked, they said since no one uses the VCR's anymore.
bunchesofun Posted June 11, 2011 Author #13 Share Posted June 11, 2011 This is exactly the setup we found in 6279. A plate where the vcr used to be and a new flat screen tv.
