cruiseco Posted April 24, 2011 #2 Share Posted April 24, 2011 Does it cover your traveling companions also? Travelex does not have a plan called "Protect Assist." Travel Guard does. Is that the one you mean or some other Travelex plan?
stipmom Posted April 24, 2011 Author #3 Share Posted April 24, 2011 I made a mistake-It is Travel Guard. If my husband has to cancel for work reasons would I be covered also or would they expect me to go without him?
cruiseco Posted April 24, 2011 #4 Share Posted April 24, 2011 "j) the Insured or Traveling Companion is required to work during his/her scheduled Trip. He/she must provide proof of requirement to work, such as a notarized statement signed by an officer of his/her employer; In the situation of self-employment, proof of self-employment and a notarized statement confirming that the Insured is unable to travel due to his or her job obligations will be required." Rare Keith1010 Posted April 25, 2011 #5 Share Posted April 25, 2011 I made a mistake-It is Travel Guard. If my husband has to cancel for work reasons would I be covered also or would they expect me to go without him? When it comes to these types of items since a lot of money is at stake, my biggest recommendation is to deal directly with the insurance carrier on these types of questions rather than people on the board. Give them a call and then have them either show you where in the policy answer to your questions exist or have them send it to you in writing.
