Current weather

Hi,

 

We are on May 25th sailing with Paul Gaugin and wondering what is the weather like on the islands right now? Is there a lot of rain? Thanks in advance!

Annagon, the weather doesn't change much in FP. This time of year, Spring through Fall, it is a bit dryer than the winter months, and perhaps a tad less humid. But the trade winds blow all the time, and humidity there has never bothered us because of the breezes. We have been to FP in May, June, July, and in Dec and Jan. Dec. is supposed to be the rainiest month but we had no rain the entire 10 day trip, until we returned to Papeete. Even if you do get rain, remember it does not rain long - the sun usually comes out after a brief shower.

 

Any time is a good time in FP!:D

"Right now" can be muggier and hotter than the norm, but a month from now it should be gorgeous. We've been twice in May. Of course the odd storm can happen any time.
